Food is good here! HOWEVER, the 4-star rating is for the LOOOONNNNGGGG wait times. Every single time now (this is more than 10 times) when I call in a takeout order, I wait the quoted time and show up, having to wait at least another 30 minutes to 1 hour for my order to be completed. I don't know if they purposefully wait for customers to show up before making the order? If so, just say that! I'm getting tired of this. If you value your time, DO NOT order from here unless you have the extra time to burn waiting. I am writing this as I am standing in the restaurant waiting for an order placed 1 hr ago, quoted 25-30 minutes and I even buffered an extra 15 minutes in there...but here I am, waiting for my order...again! New owners are very nice ... they need help in the kitchen for sure.

Having recently visited Vietnam, I am in search of a good Vietnamese spot in VA Beach. The broth here has a nice strong flavor. I will come back for more, although next visit I’ll try one of their sandwiches, too.

Food is very delicious! Very friendly owners. Authentic Vietnamese food at its best. Highly recommend!

Slow. Looks like it's under new ownership since they changed their name to Pho Va. Sign still says Phuong Lien on top, but store says different. Took 30 minutes to make 6 banh mi's we were the only ones there. Banh Mi was decent , but they need to work on the process or have more people working. Banh Mis ranged from $5.50-6.50. May only order 1 type of Banh Mi next time to make it faster.

What can I say, best banh mi in the area! As with any sandwich, it all starts with the bread. Phuong Lien's french bread was perfect! I was able to call ahead and sandwiches were ready as I got there. Recommend giving them a try!
