Firelands Winery - Sandusky

We've been here for many years, but we haven't been here for over a year. very disappointed by the quality of the wine and the descent tasting room experience. they seem mainly focused on food sales and imported weine. the Firelands varieties we tasted were only moderate. If the wee had been better, we might have had a meal, but I didn't want to spend $10 on a glass-if wine I didn't care for. I never cry here without at least 1 fall and in the more. we probably don't come back.

The wine was amazing, along with the atmosphere and eating. we're coming back!

Large selection of weeping and some of further away. they have a nice selection of yeast nutrients, sanitizers and other house wine make necessary specialties. they serve now also eating and touring are available. I believe guided and self guided according to the availability of the employees. Last but not least, the favorite part of all, wine tasting! they can stop it quickly, or an extended day trip. only a short drive from the lake. we often stop here.

Fun winery. Good wines not mind blowing but tasty. Great for Sunday afternoon.

Specifically wanted to go here as part of four day visit to Sandusky. Fail to see anything more than average here at best. Wanted to sit outside on the building side, not in the parking lot where the other outdoor seating is and was told “not open”. Ok, so we sit inside. Very nice and clean. Tastefully decorated with an exposed kitchen. With another couple so we ordered four separate flights of wine to enjoy pre-lunch. Waiting, wine shows up as pizza arrives. C’mon, I saw the wine shop/bar area, there were four of you standing around chatting. Whatever, pizza was very good, thumbs up there. As we exited, saw people sitting outside where we wanted to sit, what the heck?! Tried to purchase a couple of wine taster glasses as well , denied. No tours or grounds to peruse. It’s a wine shop with a small restaurant attached. Very average and disappointing.
