Matteo Trattoria Pizzeria St Pete

Ordered dinner from here last night. Absolutely phenomenal. I can’t wait to come into the restaurant to dine.The gnocchi was so unbelievably fresh. The portions were generous. I could only eat a third and then got to enjoy the rest for lunch today.

This was my first time here and it will be my last. The service was unbelievably slow and the food was mediocre at best. Everything took a long time to receive and some of our guests were left waiting for food items while others were finishing theirs.

GREAT Gnocchi, best I've had in Florida. Better half had the Lasagna, she really enjoyed it. Service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was PACKED! Atmosphere was rated 4 stars due to the restaurant being too warm. Overall, an Italian restaurant we'll definitely return to.Parking: Restaurant opens at 5pm, street parking at that time is available. The later it gets, the harder it is to find close parking.

I love Matteo. They have a great happy hour and their wood fired pizza is the best in St. Pete, nice and thin with a good crust. I also love their gnocchi, they have a bunch of different options. I personally like it with bolognaise.
