I'm Glad I Persevered A few months ago I made a reservation at Sol on a very busy weekend. I received a communication a few hours before the reservation letting me know that they had some kind of problem and wouldn't be able to honor the reservation. OK, things happen. But this place would charge me $25 each if I had cancelled so close to my reservation time. I also expect that they should have apologized and offered me a couple of free drinks or anything at a future visit. It took me a while to get over it and I tried again. I'm glad I did. Sol is excellent. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the servers are wonderful. We went with a couple of the higher priced four course menus. The included drinks, wine-based only, were great. I wish they hadn't brought the drinks with the first course. Cocktails are a course of their own, not a beverage like a Coke. Anyway, we both had the tomato bisque which was wonderful. The salads were also delicious. For mains we had the scallops and the filet mignon with shrimp. The composed plates with vegetables were beautifully presented and delicious. For dessert we had a flourless chocolate cake and a banana bread—again both rich and excellent. We accompanied the meal with the wine pairing and the pours were generous and well chosen. The set menus to add up to an expensive meal. It's also possible to order ala carte with more inexpensive options. We'll return to explore more of the menu.
Amazing experience. Great service. The Sunion Rings and Lasagna were spectacular. Great wine selection. Excellent ambiance.
All I can say is wow!Great atmosphere, our server was friendly and attentive, and the FOOD was probably the best I’ve had in St. Pete and Ive lived here 31 years... I got the Ribeye with goat cheese on top and the jumbo shrimp on the side. Steak was cooked perfectly(in butter not seed oils), presentation was beautiful, and the shrimp were delicious!I have been meaning to check this place out since they opened due to the grass fed steaks and I am kicking myself for not going sooner!Possibly the best restaurant in St. Pete or the Tampa Bay Area for carnivores and vegans alike.Incredible!!

The atmosphere struck a perfect balance of elegance and comfort, creating a setting that was both upscale and welcoming.
