The food is too blend, no salt, not spicy, and even though the tortillas are hand made, they aren't tasteful because of the food. We tried various things today. I got a Quesadilla Suiza (12? and cheese fondue w/ bacon and guacamole. The green salsa is made with a spice (I believe cumin that makes it taste weird (not spicy at all . The guacamole had weird tasting tomato, no salt, no lime, no cilantro. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Not sure why it is believed to be the best Mexican place in Santa Barbara
-Overall: We have honestly made a whole detour just for the rajas...SEVERAL TIMES. Get the rajas.
I love this place. tortillas are hand made right in front of you and the menu is incredible. always a line out the door and the dining room needs more seating and lighting, but other than that this restaurant is terrific
This place came highly recommended so of course we had to give it a try. The few times I've driven passed it during lunch time there's always line out the door. The place was crowded with a constant turn over of customers so seats are limited. I ordered the grilled beef and the grilled chicken tacos. My husband had the #16 Pork, cheese green bell peppers. All were bland with no seasoning. I like my grilled meat seared and neither had a good sear on them. The staff is friendly and efficient. the home made corn tortillas were delicious. But the food was just too bland for me.
La Super rica shines because of its ingredients if you like pure flavors of meat, cheese and peppers this is your place. If you are interested looking for Mexican food that hits your senses with spice and sauces this is not your place. I think there is room for both. Sometimes you want to enjoy simplicity for those times I am glad la super rica exists and is a purveyor of some great food.
