La Casa Del Vino - Santa Brígida

Our waitress refused to let us order what we wanted from the menu, and continuously told us we were ordering too much food. After only receiving a small amount of appetizers for our table of 5, we had to walk up to the hostess station to almost beg to order entrees. Once ordered, she made a point of letting us know we ordered too much food more than three times, ending in telling us our stomachs must hurt, and we would roll out of the restaurant. We also attempted to buy some wine to take home, but were told we couldn’t. Very confusing and unhappy experience. Managed to ruin a beautiful Sunday in a great location! Will definitely never go back. Now we are back home, and as soon as we walked in my children have asked for something to eat. What a disappointment. Really awful service!

I asked for a dry white. it came from a vineyard just down the hill, it was delicious. My partner requested a dry red, also from a local vineyard in San Mateo, dry, full bodied, superb. On discussion with our waiter we chose food to suit the wines and it did. Many Spanish restaurants serve very similar food, but La Casa del Vino, has a much more varied menu. Try something different it really is worth the risk.

La comida era deliciosa y estaba muy bien preparada. Sin embargo, el servicio dejaba mucho que desear, faltando gestos protocolarios propios de un restaurante de alta categoría y reputación. Vale la pena mencionar que el nombre del restaurante hace referencia a la amplia variedad de vinos en su carta, donde predominan los de origen nacional. Comida 5/5 Servicio 3/5 Ambiente y apariencia 4/5.

El lugar es bueno, pero el restaurante ofrece comida muy ordinaria y el servicio es malo. Tardan mucho en servir y a veces se olvidan de algunos platos. No vale la pena lo que pagas por lo que te ofrecen.

I love it! I have gone several times, with friends and family, and all the time has been perfect. facilities, very nice. food, delicious and service, fast.
