We noticed it in the morning when we saw people lining up outside on the street waiting to be served, but since we didn't want to wait under the scorching sun, we decided to continue our stroll through Santa Clara. Later, we understood that the wait was justified. El Rincón del Chocolate is an air-conditioned café (something not very common in Cuba) where they serve delicious Machine coffees with a variety of cakes, sweets, and chocolates that we had not seen before. We ordered 2 cappuccinos, a slice of chocolate genovese cake, and a couple of chocolates. All for 2 CUC, about 2 euros at the exchange rate, expensive compared to what a coffee costs at a window but very reasonably priced compared to a Spanish café. The staff that attended us was very friendly and nice, and the interior of the place was great, all very clean and new. In conclusion, an excellent place to have a coffee accompanied by a slice of cake or chocolate.
If you're looking for a spot to enjoy a coffee and indulge in something sweet, look no further than A Small Coffee located on the boulevard of Saint Clear between Juan Bruno Zayas and Enrique Villeundas streets. Just a 5-minute walk from Leoncio Vidal Park in the city center, this charming café caught our attention in the morning as we saw people lining up outside for a variety of expensive chocolates. An excellent choice for a coffee accompanied by a slice of cake or some chocolate treats.
