It would be helpful if they updated their closing time to ensure customers are aware when they can no longer dine in. However, in the past, we have found the food at Kuya J to be decent and satisfying. I can only give a moderate rating this time as I was unable to sample the food due to the early closing.
The food at this restaurant is on the expensive side, and the portion sizes are also not very generous. The one standout dish for us was the Ube Halo Halo, although we still felt that it was overpriced for the serving size. We would hesitate to return and may not recommend it to others.
The Pochero Bulalo at your restaurant is just as delicious as I remember from my childhood. The total price was very affordable for the two of us - it was less than 1,000 pesos! I am deducting one star because we felt that the wait time for our food was longer than expected. The customer service was very good, though.
My family and I came here for the Halo2. I love Halo as one of the Filipino all time dessert. But I was a little disappointed as they didn't meet my expectation. So sad. The shaved ice they use is not delightful for the traditional...Halo2. I think they should have re-named their version of Halo2. Service was good. Courteous staff. I know for sure I won't get my Halo2 from this place.
Me and the Mrs just had lunch at this place and we both enjoyed it. The chicken was spot on and everything else was to a good standard except for the rice which seemed a bit clumpy but besides that it was an enjoyable meal.
