Lovely meal. One of the best bits of beef steak I've had in ages. And the best meal we have had in Santa Cruz yet. Superb food and wine. Myself and wife both had roast beef salad starter and then shared a piece of beef with some baked potato. And a lovely bottle of wine and water. Followed by an apple desert with ice cream. All of it was plentiful and very tasty. Meat was flame grilled and cooked to perfection. Service is very good and waiters very keen to assist without being intrusive. In fact we just said what we wanted to waiter and they recommended which we went along with. Will definitely return when we back in Santa Cruz again (hopefully next year).
This restaurant has his own charm, open space and nice set up. We had grilled octopus for 18 euro 1 portion. good cooked and was served wit traditional side dish.. Beer is 1,80 and cola is 1,80 euro. They do not have gralic sauce, or garlic mayo. bit dull just to have only tabasco as spice aside salt peper), no pimiento or small plates with traditional sauces.
I can’t understand for the life of me how anyone could not like this place or even call it expensive. For Under 10 Euros you can get a Perfectly cooked main meal and drink, Similar “style” foods in the UK would easily cost you double. I had the Half chicken with Jacket Potatoes, bread as a simple starter with Alioli and 2 Drinks, cost me 13e and was fantastic from the quality of the meats to the seasoning and cooking. I also was envious of other people’s food so will have a try of the steak next time I go. The staff were friendly, we sat on the terrace and there was nothing that could have been better. Will be going again.
I live in Santa Cruz and have been wanting to eat here for some time now. My family and I finally got a chance on Saturday night and we loved it. The entrance and downstairs dining area is bright and airy. We decided to sit upstairs in the open terrace area where they have plenty of space. It 's also good to go around 9pm if you have younger children since they fill up fast around 10pm. My husband said the entrecot was delicious and my 12 yr old and I both ordered the solomillo, rare (I split mine with my 7 yr old). Our starter was an ample plate of jamón serrano. The surprise for me was the foil wrapped baked potatoes, or sweet potatoes, that were baked to perfection with a touch of alioli . Being American, I miss a decent baked potato since they aren 't usually available in Spanish restaurants. Our waiter was very attentive, efficient and friendly. Can 't wait for another chance to go back and try their other meat dishes like the roast beef salad. They also seemed to have a variety of sea food.
