Los Gallos - Santa María Huatulco

This being our 1st time to Hualtuco, it was great to discover this amazing little restaurant. It was so good we had to go twice during our trip. So, all I really have to say is Traditional Chicken soup and Flautas…!!! This place is amazing and so affordable. The food has amazing flavour, the beer is cold, and the salsa verde is soooo good. If you want a refreshing drink, have the Hamaica water. So flavourful and so good for you. Don’t miss out!!!

Huatulco is lucky to have many fantastic local restaurants where the food is cheap, authentic and delicious. The town is yet to be ruined by tourism (hurry it will swallowed up in the next 5 years) Los Gallos is one of the best of these local places. Always fantastic and delicious. Specialities are Caldo Tlalpeño and flautas

Open one night, closed the next and so on. Service seemed much better if you are not a solo gringo. I much preferred Los Parados just down the street.

Have eaten at Los Gallos many times on past visits to Huatulco. Like a lot of people haven’t visited in the past 4 years. Let me tell you Los Gallos was good as ever. There were 4 of us for dinner. It was crowded, had a small wait. The chicken soup was fabulous as always. My husband had a tlayuda that he said was good as any he has eaten. We shared an order of chicken flautas that were hot and fresh covered with crème fraiche, lettuce and a crumbled white cheese. One of our friends ordered the ribs which were rib tips served with tomato and cucumbers on the side. He said they were good and would order again. I highly recommend Los Gallos and will return when in Huatulco.

Want local good home cooked food !! Yes please! come to Los Gallos low key no frills . just Damn good and reasonable. Bench type seating with a few street side chairs Had the Chicken tortilla soup Excellent! tasty full of chicken , great broth ! also the Floutes (sp) sorry were beyond good !! come bye and hang with the local crowd . Service was good we speak spanglish so no problems . clean and affordable not to be missed !
