The cafe is nice and cosy. Also the staff is friendly. Their tea pound cake was delicious. Also, the melon pund cake was good. However, you can't stay here and work on laptops. It is more like cafe you go when you want to chill. They also have outdoor seating.
Very rude owner. We came in a group of five and were told to sit at a four people table with the fifth member on a stool, on the way where the waitress would walk. The place was fairly empty and we didn 't mind being separated to two separate table so we asked if two of us could move to another table and we were refused on grounds that the rule is one group one table . When we asked further for the reason and stated that the place was almost empty, and why can 't we be assumed as two groups, since we didn 't mind being separated, the owner told us to leave. We were not loud, we didn 't raise our voices or speak badly so that was a strange interaction. Three of us were Japanese people and all five of us speak Japanese so that was not a language issue.
Coffee is very good. Strong French blend I'm guessing. 5 star is only for coffee. If you ask me anything else (eg. Ppl music level cakes location.. it will be 2-3 stars.
They have only 2 kinds of coffee available, 1 mono varietal and the other french blend. Coffee is VERY strong, overly extracted. Their Altec ‘The Voice of Theater’ 828G speakers deliver rich, generous sound, mostly jazz. The place is quite cozy, but as most Japanese do people smoke in the cafe, which is unbearable.
