I had heard good reviews and we weren't disappointed. The staff were great and made our collie dog very welcome. Food was good and the view is amazing. We will definitely be back and next time it will be to stay.
Stopped off on the way from Scarborough to Whitby for lunch. We had a sandwich, a panini and a bowl of chips. The view was lovely. Sandwiches were ok, but with a very small side salad, very little dressing and a few crisps, they were basic. Condiments were served in sachets, just like at Asda cafe. Given that they were pitched at the £9 mark, I expected them to be better. The panini was best part of £13. Same again you get an identical plate of food in weatherspoons, but at literally half the price. The chips were awful. Undercooked, in dirty oil and came out all floppy and limp. We left them. There was no check back on the food, so unfortunately nobody knew.
Christmas lunch, !!! A very cheap convenient meal. Plenty of turkey, but from the frozen vegetables not fresh) same with rosters and tiny cheap processed pigs in blankets with warm watery gravy a big disappointment. The veiw and service saved the experience
Stayed for short break in the lodge accomodation that was lovely but the highlight was the fantastic food on offer in the restaurant.both my partner and I were so impressed not only by the quality of the dishes but also the value for money.3 course dinner for two was really reasonable and breakfast in the morning couldnt have been better. Well staffed , polite friendly, well dressed and the service time was impressive.cant praise this place enough and will no doubt make another stay in the near future.loved it
