Salty Bay Seafood Take-out Tavern

I had the best fried clam plate of the season at Salty Bay a few weeks ago. The employees are friendly and the little stand alone pub is a cool place to grab a drink while you're waiting for your order.Food: 5/5

This place is disgusting and over priced for the tiny portions. I wish I had read the reviews first. They obviously do not change the grease and we were all sick after and fighting for the bathroom when we got home. Food poisoning? We were supposed to get a takeout order to bring back for my daughter who was home with a new baby and we drove up to Ken's to get it there instead. We will never be back, go to Ken's or the Clambake, the food is much much better, fresher and you'll get your moneys worth. It must be friends of theirs posting the positive reviews because nothing is good there. We all got different things to try and most of it went into the trash. Believe the negative reviews they are the most accurate

We ordered a whole clam dinner and the deep fried burnt mush we were served were definitely not whole clams and were absolutely disgusting. I am embarrassed to be a local and know this is what they are serving to our vacationers. Not a great representation of Maine seafood. Do not go here. Drive up the road to the many other seafood restaurants.

For a clam dinner that costs 38.00 dollars...I had a better T.V. dinner. My wife and I were brought up in maine and all I can tell you is stay clear away from this place...go to bay haven in cornish, far better
