This was the first visit there for Steve and I. The atmosphere was wonderful. It is cozy and classy. We were not crowded at all and the temperature in the room was perfect! The bartender was informative and attentive as well as the waitstaff. We found the prices to be more than fair as we had four courses with two glasses of wine and paid just under one hundred dollars. The lobter bisque was the best we have ever had albeit a little cooler in temperature than we prefer. The calamari was perfectly seasoned and cooked, not at all chewy or dry. It was drizzled with just enough balsamic and chopped sweet tomatoes. Their jalapeño bread fresh out of the oven was spectacular (note, it IS rather spicy) Steve had the mahi mahi. It was out of this world! I had the braised beef and shrimp and it was also very very good. We spent two lingering hours there and enjoyed every minute. Can’t wait to go again. Highly recommended!!!!!
One if the gems of the Capital Region! My wife and I went there for our anniversary. We had delicious meals. She had braised short ribs which were the most tender meat I have ever tasted. I had the mahi mahi which was equally as amazing. The service was 5-star. Our server, Kate, was the best. Already making plans with friends to return!!
I was there Saturday evening with my family to celebrate my 60th Birthday. Everything was perfect from the cozy room with the fireplace to the carrot cake with a candle! The Glass Tavern never disappoints. Kudos to the wait staff who are always attentive and friendly. A great place for special occasions.
Just love this place so much! Delicious food, drink, raw bar, great staff, you can bring kids, and great atmosphere!
