I recommend trying the Blue Buffalo sandwich, which is made with chicken and is very tasty. The restaurant offers free wifi and the staff are friendly; most of them speak Spanish. They serve American coffee and espresso, with the latter being more expensive. A snack and coffee will cost you around 8 or 9 dollars, which is a good deal. Many Americans enjoy the park's sandwiches or soup, but sitting by the window allows you to watch American life pass by.
The Cosi café is a very nice place. Located in front of Bryant Park and the New York Public Library, it's ideal for grabbing a sandwich. The bread is wood-fired and they make it directly in an oven, and it's delicious. If you happen to be there, try the Buffalo Blue, which is chicken and delicious. Another advantage is that they offer free Wifi and the waitresses are very friendly. The best part is that everyone there, or almost everyone, speaks Spanish. You can have American coffee or espresso, although the latter is naturally more expensive. A sandwich and a coffee can cost around $8 or $9, which is very good. Typically, Americans take their sandwich or soup to the park across the street, but if you sit in the chairs facing the window and the street, you will have a great time watching life go by, especially American life.
