The place is so cute with seating outside and good music. However, the food was okay. Rice and beans were good. Too many onions on top of the chicken and the pernil. It was all just okay for me. The portions were a good size for leftovers. I ordered to go and the food was ready as soon as I arrived. However, the containers did not contain the very liquidiy chicken and pernil and I ended up with grease/sauce all over everything. It was a pain to clean up. I would suggest putting the meats in something that actually seals shut and doesn't bend out of shape so easily.
Service was great! Friendly and attentive. Food was yummy, had the mofungo with pernil, which tender and tasty. Dessert was great as well. Would definitely return! The service here was very good. The owner came over to our table and introduced himself. I thought that was very nice. The staff was friendly and professional. I got a beer before my dinner. It was just barely cold enough to say that it was cold. Ask anyonethat drinks beer and they will tell you that nothing is better than an ice-cold beer. Especially if it is so cold that it hasice chips in it. I don't know why any place that has a bar wouldn't have the cooler set to the point that the beer was ice cold. The food was good, but it was lacking flavor. Usually Latino food is bursting with flavor. My daughter and I had a cheeseburger. The burgers were on the thin side and rather dry. I had my medium and she had hers was well done and both were somewhat dry. Thebuns were on the stale side. Definitely not fresh. You can always tell when bread is fresh. My wife had the Latin rice. It hadno flavor whatsoever. My son had a Cuban sandwich which was very good. In summary... the staff was friendly and professional andthe prices were reasonable. The food wasn't bad, but it was lackluster.
