FOOD POISONING. Do not come here unless you want food poisoning. Do not eat any meat especially.
I ate food when I needed it. So the positive is that I didn 't starve. But thank God I live off campus and don 't have to pay for a meal plan. Sure the food is sustainable but it lacks flavor and makes me sad. We said its not horrible... many times while eating.. that 's not what you want.
I love the food, the staff and the atmosphere here! It makes me feel like I scored big time and eating with the rich community. There's only 2 complaints I have for it: 1. It could use more Gluten and Dairy Free Foods 2. Change the menu website, when using the Google Menu Other than that, I come here every Wednesday and Thursday. Way different than Fresno Cafeteria, that's for sure. My favorite foods are the hamburger patties, grilled chicken, French Fries, Tater tots and Hash brown patties (fried), Ham/Canadian Bacon, Pork Link sausages and bacon, ratatouie and Pico Di Galo Refried Beans! I personally recommend this but that choice is yours.
Not a large variety of options if you eat there every day, and the health department needs to take a closer look because everyone gets food poisoning. A poll of 100 students shows 63 of them have gotten food poisoning from the DC at least once and I personally get food poisoning once a month. Someone just today, 4/12/22, claims they saw someone get served moldy bread and the staff just pulled off the slices that had visible mold once they noticed. The student staff brags about intentionally serving apples that’ve been dropped on the floor, and they pull pizzas out of the oven using the rag they use to clean dishes. Last semester someone found a worm in their broccoli. Avoid the Dining Commons at all costs, and avoid a meal plan too if you can.
