Red Papaya Ale Spirits - Seattle

There was only one server, so the service was quite slow. I felt sorry for the guy who was working hard. Some customers left because it took too long, especially on a crowded afternoon with a show happening at Key Arena. The pho was overpriced in a bar setting, and not all the dishes we read about in other reviews were available on the menu. Overall, I don’t plan on returning.

The food was fantastic, but they were understaffed, especially with the busy crowd before the Stevie Nicks concert. We had a reservation for 5:30, but we weren't greeted or seated until 6:00. It felt like they just wanted us to leave as soon as possible. One of the employees even insisted that reservations don’t show up in their system.

The service was excellent, and the Vietnamese food was quite good. The portion sizes were medium, which is just right for most appetites, and the prices were reasonable. The only downside was that the restaurant can get quite loud, as it has hard surfaces that don't absorb sound.

Service was incredibly slow, drinks and eating were incredibly moderate, and the volume was incredibly loud.

We had a great dinner at Red Papaya and Ale House. They have an excellent beer selection that changes frequently. Wonderful server who was friendly but now obtrusive. We would definitely go back if we lived in the area.
