In addition to this signature dish, the menu is limited to just four traditional Korean drinks: Sikhye, ginger and jujube tea, cinnamon punch, and Ssanghwatang. All priced around 7000 KRW, these beverages do not include deer antler tea. The restaurant, which has been in business for decades, is renowned and often busy with customers on weekends. The Danpatjuk is generously garnished and highly recommended for red bean lovers. The establishment exudes an old-fashioned charm and authentic feel.
This small tea house specializes in danpatjuk, a sweet red bean bread. The menu is small and simple, with only four types of traditional Korean drinks available: sikhye, ingwer and jujube tea, zimt punsch, and ssanghwatang, all priced at 7000 krw. I did not see any deer on the menu today, but I wonder if the ssanghwatang contains deer grazing extract. It is unclear if honey is used in the tea, but I plan to ask when I return. The tea house has been in operation for decades and is well-known, so there may be lines of waiting customers. The generous serving of sweet red bean soup will satisfy red bean fans. The atmosphere is old-fashioned yet authentic.
