We were coming back to Lisbon from Evora, and we wanted to have some gelato. We parked next to the Vicci Geladaria and smelled grilled fish next door. Guided by our noses and hunger, we turned away from gelato and requested a table for two at O Tavira. What a wise decision it was! This place offers the best white Sangria we have ever had. The fish we ordered bass by the kilo was also excellent. Veggies we don't eat potatoes were perfectly steamed, not overcooked. Appetizers we had cheese and presunto. Especially presunto was very tasty. We had a table in front of the place where the presunto was sliced. You could see the love the owner ? of the restaurant puts into slicing it to the ideal thickness. The only problem was that the menu was only in Portuguese, but the Google Translate app came to the rescue. Great meal, great time. And yes, we did go for gelato as a dessert next door after dinner.

We had to wait for more than 1 hour to get our food. Waiter offered us several excuses, truth is, some tabes that arrived after us were served earlier. We only asked for 3 grilled fish… Food, very regular, very salty, not so good. Very disappointed. Can’t recommend this place.
