China Buffet - Shamokin Dam

Good buffet for the price. Before I visited this buffet today, I thought the best Chinese buffet for Williamsport was the King House Buffet on golden stripes williamsport. But after I had eaten in this place, which is about 40 miles away from Williamsport, I changed my mind. China house strikes royal house. I have this buffet on Rt 11/15 at least 10 times before, but never tried to eat there. Because the entrance of this buffet gave me the impression of this place was a small rat hole buffet like some other Chinese buffets that we had previously eaten in various small towns. But I was wrong. We were so hungry when we were here and needed a lot of everything you can eat. So we thought we'd try. After I went into this not too big entrance, I was amazed at how big and beautiful this place was. It is at least twice larger than King House, and the whole restaurant also looks cleaner and newer. The servers there are very nice, very good service, fast. They saw my baby girl, who is 2 years old, was small, they didn't charge her at all without asking her age. They have a very large dining area with seven large dining stations, including a very fresh salad, fruit and sushi bar, a hot Chinese duck bar, a fried food and dim sum, an American food bar, a soup bar and seafood (we had lunch there so seafood bar for dinner was empty), a dessert and ice bar and a Mongolia BBQ bar. Many of the foods I had eaten there tasted pretty good like their chicken on the stem, tasted just like those made in to order Chinese restaurant, juicy and tender. Hot and acid soup was good, American food was good, etc. Most of their foods tasted better than those we have here. Some were OK. You need to find out yourself, because each body has different taste buds. For all you can eat, you only pay $6.49 per person for lunch, and $2.49 for 4 years old. I'm glad I checked this place, and in the future I could stop there when we go through this area every time. The buffet in Williamsport needs to improve as it soon opens a new Chinese buffet in Montoursville, just a few miles away. Can't wait!

I always liked being here, food is always fresh for buffet. Staff are nice and the prices are very reasonable.

This place has disappointed NIE when my family went there. Always a good selection of dishes, freshly cooked and always something for the picky children. My wife would rather come here than any other Chinese restaurant, and LOVES's food choice. Atmosphere is good and can have conversations without problems. Never before, but plan this weekend...

Only the problem is that it is too many things to choose and I eat too much. The shrimps are cocktail size. It's okay. Definitely worth the price. You have a great choice, you do not need to be filled like Chinese food.

Will not be going back. My last experience there was horrible. A bug in my drink, server was very rude and tried to move my granddaughter's car seat with her in it. And there was a bug on our table when we were seated. My daughter was up from fl and I took her for what I thought would be a pleasant dining experience and it turned out very badly.
