Golden Chopsticks Buffet - Sheboygan

First of all, how can a place named Chopstick Buffet not have chopsticks available for customers? That was my first disappointment. Then there was the iced tea, which tasted like it had been filtered through a marker. It was 7 PM, yet the food looked like it had been sitting out since 5 PM, completely unappetizing. I definitely won't be returning. As a side note, don’t forget to check out the little trinket shelf on your way out—you might find something you didn’t know you needed!

Today’s lunch was a major letdown. About 80% of the food on the buffet was cold. When we pointed this out, we received no response and were simply handed the bill. This will definitely be our last visit there.

I’ve been going here from time to time as a kid for the past 18 years..the food USED to be good. Today was the last time i’ll be paying a visit there though. The prices used to be $8-9 and now it’s around $13 per person… It was around 3:30-ish when I arrived with my siblings and boyfriend. In total, we were a group of 5. Upon arriving, we weren’t even approached but rather I had to make eye contact with one of the ladies who worked there and then she pointed us to our booth. Now, I have no idea why she would sit us at a booth in which we ended up sitting at 2 booths because there wasn’t enough room. As she was directing us, she gave us glares and immediately off the bat gave me “weird” vibes/energy. Anyways, we got our food eventually and it was as if all the food was dried out or had been sitting there for a long time and had not been replaced. Due to the sitting out and being kept in a warm pan, the food eventually dried out and became stale. This honestly wasn’t a pleasant experience. Our waitress honestly didn’t even care or even conversed with us or communicated. Our total came to $63…which isn’t bad but we could have spent that money elsewhere. The place overall is pretty unsanitary and feels as if it was falling apart. It was also pretty dead when we went also. Lastly, Golden automatically places a tip onto your total..so technically we ended up tipping her $4 or something…when really she didn’t deserve a tip at all.. After arriving home..I threw up the food. Not because I hated the experience, but because my body was physically rejecting what I had eaten and felt nauseous the whole night.

The Mongolian grill here is delicious! We wanted to, but I had to take it home. I had to fill on the amazingly delicately baked fish, green beans, pork rolls and garnel harvested tones. that was our first post-covid buffet, and the 2 years waiting was worth it!

I am at 11:00 a.m. and uo baby there! everything was delicious! and I ate everything!
