Mowgli - Sheffield

Mowgli is a highly regarded restaurant in my area that caters to carnivores, those with a sweet tooth, and vegans alike! The menu offers a wide variety of options, all of which are consistently high-quality. Standout vegan dishes include the bhel puri (a must-try) and the sacred chow.

I highly recommend trying the rhubarb ginger dahl, it is delicious. The bhel puri is also fantastic, a definite 10/10. It's worth trying a variety of small plates from the tiffin box. The loaf was a little odd, but overall a nice experience.

I tried the incredible vegan tiffin, which included a variety of delicious curries chosen by the chef. The presentation was gorgeous, and the leftovers were just as wonderful the following day. This review has been updated since the last one in 2022.

They have a separate vegan menu that is good, as it makes it easier to choose their food. many options for choice and cheap. in portions are also good. eating was nice, but not amazing overall. some dishes were delicious and some were in order. I would definitely go back to try some of the other food offers. updated by previous review on 2022-01-23

Honestly, been so excited to come here as the food menu looked amazing for vegans like myself, the atmosphere was great when we walked I so off to a good start, our starters came, I had the vegan yogurt chat bombs, which were borderline inedible, the vegan yogurt was awful and I only ate 1 as I couldn't stomach another (bowl of 5), my partner had the fenugreek kissed fries which were to be honest quite nice, very well spiced and well cooked. When the mains arrived they looked great, I had the two vegan dhals, and a puri bread. First off, the puri bread was covered in oil, I picked it up and my hand was dripping, and holo in the middle so no substance, to it, just oily damp bread. Then the two dhals, no taste what so ever, could kind of taste a hint of lemon in one but other than that nothing. Would not recommend and have no idea how people rave about this place as they do. The cocktails were nice though and very friendly staff.
