Made my drive to toronto a bit more tolerable. Maybe they missed the mark on full pizzas. But they hit the mark on slices. Ask for it warmed for extra crunch!
First and last time ordering at Johnny's if I can give -1000 I would. My order was incorrect which I understand mistakes happen, the manger called me and was absolutely rude, said that the business is failing and he's tired of giving free away free food, my order was never repeated back to me and he was insisting it was. I offered to return the pizza for the correct one I originally ordered and pay the difference. Instead of making an effort and gaining a long term customer in the future he lost my business. I doubt that is how you run a business and treat paying customers.
Stopped in here on a drive from Markdale to Toronto over the holidays. Way better option than a boring ol ' stop at Tim Horton 's. Its super basic signage and interior might make you pass it by entirely, but its worth the stop if you 're having a cheese and carb craving (which is almost always, am I right? My driving companion and I each got a slice (a garlic finger for me and a super for him and a couple o ' dips (your standard Heinz roasted garlic and cheddar chipotle . They are BIG slices cut in two so you 're basically getting two slices. Came to something like $14 total. Friendly staff and quick service. Would stop here again next time I 'm coming through town.
People who live in Shelburne love this place so if you ask a local they will tell you it's amazing. However, I am convinced this is because they've never had a good local pizza before that doesn't come from a chain. The biggest issue with the pizza here is the complete blandness of the cheese. Cheese quality is the most important factor when it comes to taste and unfortunately they are using an extremely cheap cheese. Beyond the cheese issue is the amount of flour that is left on the crust. It's entirely too much. On the positive side the pepperoni is very good. Has a nice spicy kick. Price isn't bad but in my opinion isn't worth it considering the cheapness of the cheese used.
My husband and I ordered a large deluxe pizza from Johnny's in Shelburne last evening and it was a truly first-class pizza! It smelled wonderful in the car when we took it home. We found that the crust was light and chewy, the toppings were very tasty and the double cheese was lovely. Also, Johnny's say on their site that their pizza sizes are more generous than usual, and it's true. What we got as a large would have been an extra large anywhere else. Highly recommended!
