The cowboy's poutine was tasty, but the restaurant was a bit dirty and the service was lacking with only one waitress handling everything. It was surprising. I visited on Sunday, June 24th which was a Quebec holiday. Overall, I can only give an average rating due to the subpar conditions, but the service from the two employees was commendable.
We consider ourselves poutine experts and we really enjoyed our experience at Le Snack. They offer a wide variety of options and show great creativity in their dishes. I can't recall the exact names, but I went with one that had flank steak and merguez topped with a creamy spicy sauce over the poutine. It was absolutely delicious, although I wish there had been a bit more curd cheese. My husband opted for the one topped with a chicken Caesar salad (I believe it was called "The Club") and he also enjoyed the unique combination of flavors. The portion sizes were generous, and we were both unable to finish a medium poutine. One great surprise was that the leftovers tasted just as good the next day when reheated with extra cheese added. While the prices were a bit high, we appreciated the quality of the meat. The only downside was the cleanliness of the restaurant - the floors were slippery from grease and the bathrooms were in need of attention. Despite this, we were willing to overlook these issues due to the delicious food. Overall, we give Le Snack a very good rating.
I love Le Snack. We usually visit the location on Wellington and have never been disappointed with the poutines we have ordered. The menu offers a great selection and a variety of poutines with delicious flavors.
I recently visited the Wellington St. location and although the spot itself is nice and the menu is promising, the poutine was disappointing. Considering the price, it should at least be either tasty or portioned generously, but it is neither. When you order a poutine, you will mainly taste the toppings you choose, as the gravy lacks flavor and the fries are nothing special. The bacon was also bland. Two poutines and sodas will cost approximately $30, leaving you unsatisfied. The service is decent, but the supposed manager constantly hovers around with a sour expression. You can find better options elsewhere.
