Restaurant Auguste - Sherbrooke

Wonderful experience, delicious food, great service. we all truly enjoyed our meals.at the end of the weekend, this restaurant was number 1 on all our lists

The service was excellent and we had a great dinner. The restaurant is famous for using fresh ingredients from the Estrie region in Quebec (famous for its good bio products . We both had la table d’hôte (similar to the Spanish Menú and enjoy the tasty and well prepared/presented dishes. I you are in Sherbrooke and want to go for a safe bet do not miss the Auguste. My wife had lived in Sherbrooke a few years ago and she confirmed the quality of the food and services is always the same, very good.

I went for my mother’s birthday. Great selection of food and very good. The service was good and we really enjoyed our dinner.

What a great experience we had at Auguste's in old Sherbrooke! We hardly ever see blood pudding on US menus so when we saw that Auguste had it on its menu we went for it right away! It was out of this world, cooked just right, crispy on the outside, yet moist on the inside. It was served with mashed potatoes, cooked red cabbage, and covered in a delicious brown sauce that added just the right moisture needed for this dish. Do not hesitate to order this great dish, you will not be disappointed! Our friend had veal liver which looked just as appetizing as our boudin noir.

We returned to this place after a few years away as the original high flying chef we loved had left, but back in Sherbrooke, we booked an early table on a Saturday night. I was surprised to see so many families with young children, but learnt of a special for 20$ for early birds which explained that at 6pm, the place was almost full of cool sophisticated youngsters with their equally cool parents. We had a great meal, the sauces showed that there was a very good chef in place and the way the seafood was cooked showed that everything was fresh. Good cocktails as well, and the wine list was interesting. I was there for lunch earlier in the month and the food was good and reasonable for lunch
