RĀko Coffee Roasters - Shirlington

It 's been Temporarily Closed now for almost a month. Not sure how hard it is to get an espresso machine repaired, but it can 't be good for business to not be open. Update: looks like the shop was closed by the county. Stickers on all of the equipment/furniture, so not sure it 's going to be opening again.

Best coffee shop in Court House, absolutely recommend going and getting a perfect espresso drink. They're doing it right here.

Picture this: it's a cold fall day, you want to stay home and get cozy but you're also craving a good cup of coffee. So you head to Rako and order a latte and snuggle up on their couch and enjoy your coffee in a home away from home. Let me just tell you, the vibes are immaculate. I studied here for 4 hours straight and it was absolutely perfect! Not only was my coffee delicious but I truly felt so snuggled and cozied up on the couch with all the fun pillows. This is my official go to coffee shop especially as the weather gets colder. 10/10 recommend!

Rako is my go to stop for the BEST honey matcha latte. they have oat milk!! To begin, the inside is SO cute and there is a good amount of seating, but also there is outdoor seating. It is super cozy inside! They have a variety of coffee and tea options to choose from! I have also tried their volcanic black salt vanilla latte that the barista recommended for me and it was YUMMY! They also have a cocktails happy hour from 4pm 6pm. I personally have not tried their cocktails yet, but have heard amazing reviews from my friends. In terms of food, they have a variety of pastries as well as a good variety food options. The monkey bread is SO good highly recommend!! I went for breakfast and had their egg cheese sandwich and it was AMAZING the hot honey in it was a perfect touch, and it was not spicy at all. Overall, love Rako so much it's a regular for me! Highly recommend checking it out!

Solidly good neighborhood coffee shop. Decent croissants, charming all-seasons ambience, friendly and attentive service, super weird eclectic music selection Just Can 't Wait to Be King was followed by Big Green Tractor , enough textiles and sound absorption panels that it 's not super loud and echoey, but most people were on their laptops or reading, anyway. Better than I expected from a largely cookie-cutter-development part of Arlington.
