We stopped here on our annual BC trip. I love this place! Other than the fact that it sometimes has quite a long wait (and no one answers the phone ahead of time for a reservation), this place is perfect. It's situated in the channel between Mara and Shuswap lakes and nearly right on the water. It's always playing Caribbean music too which sets the mood. The night we were there they had a live band. Although the music was appropriate, it was really loud and made it difficult for dinner conversation. The food is delicious and they have tasty tropical drinks too. I had the mahi mahi and my husband had the ribs. Both of us left full! I recommend stopping here on a Sicamous trip - but attempt to make a reservation ahead of time if you can!
Really really good food! Unique location and atmosphere. Definitely worth seeking this place out for dinner and drinks!
This hidden gem is located by the narrows, away from the hustle and bustle. During our vacation, my wife and I spent an afternoon and evening on their patio, enjoying the laid back atmosphere. The food was delicious and the drinks were refreshing. We didn't feel rushed during our visit in July, and the service staff was incredibly friendly. I recommend taking a stroll down to Bahama Johns and relaxing with a drink on their sunny deck.
Went with husband, daughter and her two children, 7 and 4 years old. We were warned you could wait a long time for a table but when we arrived at 5:30 pm the place was not full and we were shown to our table right away. Our server was quick in getting us our drinks and taking our order. But when a full hour had gone by with no food service and no mention from our server we asked what the delay was. She said she didn't know why the kitchen was so behind and that was it. It took another 20 minutes. Too long for adults, never mind children. The food was good but wouldn't go back unless we had a lot of time to just chill and definitely without children.
