Tabu - side

First off, just want to say, the food was absolutely amazing. Everything was delicious! However, I wish someone would have told me that they play club music insanely loud — couldn’t even hear the people I came to dinner with. This was 5 o’clock on a Thursday, absolutely insane to me as I just didn’t feel the music matched the atmosphere. I was taken aback and likely won’t come back because of it. If loud club music does not deter you, consider this a 5 star for you.

The food was ok, 3/5. The ambience and our server were excellent, 5/5.

If you decide to drive here make sure to come at least 30min. before your reservation. Parking is pretty horrible in this area. I had the Mole steak tacos and they were delicious very messy but delicious. Drinks are reasonably priced considering the area.

My friend and I went to Tabu Rooftop Popup afterwork and it’s absolutely beautiful up here. It’s a different entrance from Tabu restaurant and you take the elevator up. The space is adorable with beautiful view of downtown and sunset makes the vibes just right for a good time. Now I recommend getting the margarita tower if you have 3—5 people in your group cuz it’s more worth it. Tabu has creative food, great decor, the service is good, but could be improved. The hosts were slow to greet and not very clear with how our reservation was made despite being made through the restaurants own system, only coming up as our initials. They came across slightly haughty. Once seated, our waitress took some time to greet us, but was very friendly and answered all our questions once she was there. Our bussers were very attentive, plates were cleared quickly and water never ran low. … – show
