If you are looking for a traditional experience.... this is the place ... Maria and Louis are taking care of their restaurant like if it was their baby, spotless clean.... we have been several times with friends and always welcomed... I just recommend to book so they know that you are coming .... fish, chicken ... all excellent . Special thanks for the Fish Soup and the delicious almond pie .... Thanks María and Louis for you smiles and see you soon.
Down a little side alley, we found this small restaurant. We noticed that they did not take card, so luckily we had cash. Waitress didn't speak very good English (only French) but was welcoming. Food was OK, but wouldn't recommend it due to average food.
We were staying in the area and found some of the reviews on here we decided to go try it out. We were extremely happy we did and found the restaurant to be the perfect small village dining experience. The staff were attentive and passionate about their food (and yes, they do speak English). The food itself was exceptional, a special note on the garlic prawns which HAVE to be tried. They were a rare treat. All in all, highly recommended.
This is very simple review to write. Despite its unassuming appearance location, this was easily the best restaurant we ate at in a holiday in Spain along the Algarve. We visited because we were staying in the nearby hotel (des charmes capela das artes). The food was totally fresh delicious the service was fantastic. It is reasonably priced as well.
