Their stock here is cooked with low fire, using dried ikan bilis and soybeans and the noodles have added touch of their homemade spicy fish paste Highly recommended and definitely won’t lose out to any popular dry ban mians out there!
Food Quality: Waiting Time: Approx 35mins (11am) Ordered the Big Prawn Ban Mian, homemade noodles has an appropriately chewy texture. Meatballs were also homemade and they’re extremely well marinated. Not forgetting the prawns are very fresh too! The store also provides a beeper so that you could just submit your order and find a seat.
Waited 45 mins for this ban mian $5) with 2 prawns. Soup is good and not overly salted. The shampoo market will be under renovation from 14/5/22 till July 22. Recommend to call for order as it could draw even longer q, before it closed for renovation.
A piping bowl of handmade noodles really made my day! Their menu is slightly different from your usual “qiu lian” ban mian. They offer seafood options (prawns, razor clams, fish maw) which give an unique twist to the handmade noodles. What made them stand out would definitely be their noodles. It was so chewy that I had to gobble up quickly before they get soggy. The downside was the queue, as we had to wait for about 30 mins . That’s how popular they are! P.S Their chili really packs a punch Very spicy yet refreshing.
Wow after my first tasting probably 8 years ago, while they are only selling $4/bowl, which consider high price at that time. But today, while everyone charging $4/meal, he start charging minimum $5/bowl. Worth it? Unfortunately, I have to say: it worth the $5 pricing Their seafood bowl come with 2 big fresh prawns, 3 pork meat ball and crispy anchovies. Lastly adding the money chye (vegetables), it was a tasty bowl of noddle, be it in long thin type ban mian or pieces of Mee-Hoon-Kueh. I order dry version, adding dark soya source n super spicy chilli (control your portion, don't add too much if you can't take the chilli heat) If you like soupy noodles, you can order soup version. Eating noodles with their sweet broil always a pleasant experience.
