Oh, the intention! Södertälje doesn't quite grasp the concept of a proper fika, but here is a hidden gem in the city. The lack of real ice is disappointing, but the cakes and pastries are fantastic. The tea is simple but decent, and the staff is top-notch. The atmosphere here is wonderful, with fantastic interior decor. (I even saw some water birds outside, which added to the ambiance!) The price for a coffee and a piece of cake is a bit steep at 80 SEK, but I will definitely return and bring along some friends.
The restaurant has a lovely variety of homemade desserts such as cakes, rolls, and delicious tarts. The atmosphere is cozy with several smaller dining rooms indoors and a spacious veranda outside. It reminds me of Taxinge Kakslottet outside of Sodertalje, but on a smaller scale. The classic decor and high location offer a beautiful view of the water, similar to the castle in Sodertalje and the nearby boat harbor. The carrot cake I tried here was exceptional!
This restaurant is really awful. They have overpriced coffee that is not very good. I would give them 0 stars if I could. To make matters worse, customers have to pour their own juice from a cheap carton and still pay a high price for it. The prices are completely unreasonable considering the poor quality of the food and service. The staff is also unfriendly and rude when asked about the poor quality and service.
Good food. beautiful person
