Pinstripes - South Barrington

I was very surprised the prices were much higher. I havent been there since they no longer served bread. It was the best. I've been a big fan of pinstripes and have had parties there but will be looking elsewhere. $35 for soup and salad is beyond what I'll pay.

We waited 25 mins at our table after being greeted and only received water despite ordering other drinks. The place was packed outside of the restaurant(bocce, bowling, bar) and clearly understaffed putting pressure on the dining room staff. We only saw one Waitress around, who was supposed to be serving us too. The manager was running checks out and looked distracted. A host near the bowling check in was eating soup as we walked out. This time, we chose to leave due to the slow service and we were celebrating a birthday so we didn't want to ignore the red flags at the beginning of our meal (hinting at the pace of service for the evening.... Hopefully next time we come in, there will be a more organized dining staff. ??

We come for the brunch buffet once or twice a year and it is still a quality brunch for the money! Meaning an assortment of food for everyone's tastes made in smaller batches for constant turnover, so it is fresh. The only exception to this is there were no heat lamps on the pizzas/flatbreads and they looked old and unappetizing, but we did not come here for pizza! Service of the buffet and our table was excellent as well.

Big place with decent food. Has 2 different types of Bowling.

What a classy place. Nothing like the bowling place I went to as a kid. Bocce was tons of fun. Nice large room with 6 large lanes just off the entrance. Bowling to the right and bocce to the left. Plenty of rooms for private parties. Our waiter was very attentive at the bocce court. Great family fun! Only thing I would suggest adding is small end tables on the far side of the bocce courts for drinks. I look forward to trying out the buffet.
