I have chickpea curry with tears and drowned and damped veg. the court was delicious. ordered emptying and festival also. and they were so good with the curry.
Nuh badda! Unauthentic bad tasting Caribbean style food. The restaurant setting is good and modern so you are expecting the food to be the same. Oh no it stops right there. We ordered the fried chicken meal £12.00 Three pieces of over fried chicken wings cut up to make it look more. Cheap boiled rice and a tablespoon of veg. Macaroni cheese £5.50 runny and tasteless. The ackee and calloo meal £12.00, was also a joke. Tin calloo cooked down with speckles of ackee. Salty rice and peas and didn't taste fresh and was sent back. I'm not sure who this restaurant is catering for but it's certainly not folks who grew up on carribbean food. Don't bother!...try elsewhere like Brixton,Acre Lane where there are 2 very good real Caribbean Takeaways which are always busy and well known for quality.
This food was genuinely incredible! Beyond tasty and a great portion Well cooked and well prepared food, I was glad to have a break from a lot of the other vegan food I’ve had in London which felt quite synthetic. This was just straight up whole foods cooked well My partners review “deeply satisfying and filled me with joy”
We had the chickpea curry and the ackee callalou curry and they were both so delicious!
The Ackee dishes here are delicious, as is the tofu curry. With around four vegan options it's arguably the best vegan option in Elephant, and when everything tastes this delicious, I find myself returning time and time again. Definitely worth grabbing the ackee and callalou if you're near Elephant Park.
