Dartmoor Diner - South Hams

Just popped in for a quick bit of breakfast I just had fried eggs on toast and my wife a bacon sandwich I’ll get to the food in a mo firstly I need to address the flies we were sat at table 4 and there must have been a dozen flies buzzing around this section of the cafe especially around the coffee machine and the overhead fan and not nice whilst you’re trying to eat you seriously need to address this issue next the food the bacon was undercooked and if it were a fillet of beef I would class it as rare not very appealing when it”s thick sliced and the fat along the edge was white and undercooked the eggs were fine however the “chef” obviously doesn’t know how to butter a slice of toast to the edges a blob of Marge in the middle was as far as it went wont be returning you’ve obviously got a little gold mine there looking at the number of customers coming in the door but if you want to keep their custom then pull your finger out

Fantastic food and location before or aftet going for a walk on the Moor. Pleasant staff and lovely background music.

Used to love this place, but gone downhill recently. Ordered bacon sandwich which came out on really thin cheap bread, fatty bacon. Very disappointed. Had cake for dessert, usually amazing, but were bland not much flavour. The service was rubbish,had to keep asking for drink, menu, to pay!!! I've heard a few people say it's not as good anymore, which I didn't want to believe as I'm usually a fan love this place , but I have to agree, it was really disappointing I won't go back for breakfast again.

Service was poor. Very very dated old and smelt bad. Was not happy eating there but I did Not choose the place!

Really good full English and great price. Little gem next to the main road and the staff were so friendly and food was quick
