The South Kempsey Corner Store

Travelling from Melbourne, I checked the reviews I thought I would try the place out Walked in, 2-3 customers, looked like a cafe from the 70’s (not in a good way). Was so close to walking out. A coffee and Breakfast burger later, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Service was excellent, Burger and coffee was fantastic. On top of that as I was leaving the shop was packed. Locals obviously know they have a good thing.

The restaurant has amazing coffee and the staff, who are young and friendly, create a relaxed atmosphere. I enjoyed a delicious Southern fried milk bun burger with fries. It is a perfect spot to stop by after mountain biking, as there is parking right outside and outdoor tables where you can keep an eye on your bikes.

One standout addition to the dining scene is The Corner Store in South Kempsey. Offering homemade, in-house cooked dishes, this restaurant is sure to become a local institution. Their coffee is also top-notch, so you won't need an extra shot to get your fix. While I don't know the owners personally, their delicious food and welcoming atmosphere make them feel like family. A definite yes from me!

We discovered this lovely restaurant after camping nearby during our road trip. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, the coffee was excellent, and the food was delicious. They also have a nice little store.

The local corner store in Kempsey is also a local cafe! The food is sensational. Clearly a favourite of the locals it was pumping when we drove through Kempsey for a stop on our long drive. Definitely, put Kempsey Corner Store on your list of stops on your next long haul drive through the region.
