Rolls are cheap, there is a big variety, and the taste is great and quality is good. I 'd avoid the jalapeño yellowfin unless you like thick cut yellowfin it was a little 'fishy ' and too thick to take in the great sauce it 's served in. Try lots of different rolls you can afford to at these prices!<br/
This is the Asian Restaurant that all the others are trying to imitate. <br/ SIMPLY WONDERFUL <br/ The outside of the building does not herald anything of what the interior has to offer, so don 't be fooled by outward appearances. <br/ Once inside your instantly greated with a warm atmosphere and the delicate aromas from the kitchen becon a very nice welcome. <br/ The staff are incredibly eager to please from the moment you walk in the door. <br/ The menu boasts a wide range of sushi, which is usually a warning flag, but the cheerful sushi chefs adeptly pour out artfully skilled plates of delicious and beautiful sashimi and sushi like masters of their craft. <br/ Also available are savory dishes made to order including such specialties as Chinese or Japanese Bento style box meals, which are always a fun choice. <br/ For those with limited chopstick skills, much to my grandsons delight, they can even supply their diners with a 'beginner ' set of chopsticks, (see picture) to enhance your dining experience. <br/ Red Mermaid Bistro is definitely a NEED TO TRY on anyone 's list. <br/ Great food, great service, great atmosphere, very competitive pricing and absolutely delicious! <br/ It can 't be beat. <br/ I 'll be a regular diner here from now on for sure.
It's not exactly what it used to be, but it's still delicious, fresh sushi for an absolutely awesome price. <br/ <br/ If you want only the freshest of fish (like a 9 out of 10) then this isn't your place. But if you're okay with a 7-8 on the freshness scale, paying about 30% what you'd pay at one of the more expensive sushi joints, then this is your jam.<br/ <br/ I can drop 15 bucks and have a massive sushi meal for my wife and I. Where else can you do that? It's our go-to for the excellent quality-to-value ratio. I just wish we didn't have to drive from Draper to get it.<br/ <br/ You want to know the true secret to the best Red Mermaid experience? Order by phone and pick it up. They've got it ready in 15 minutes and you're on your way home to smash down some awesome sushi while binge-watching your favorite Netflix program.<br/ <br/ Give it a try. Don't expect a high-end dining experience. Just expect value. Delicious value.
Love the price at 50% off everything all the time and it was decent quality sushi but not a fan of the service. I had a waiter run after me because she supposedly didn't charge me for a soda I was already in my car and she stood their till I handed her $2. I love the price so I just get all my orders to go.
I've been going to this restaurant for about 5 years. They have awesome sushi for the price and even better than many expensive sushi places in the area. Now couple things this is a hole in the wall type restaurant. You go for the food not the service and atmosphere. Not that there service is bad, they just work as a group and don't speak the best english. Decor is cluttery and tables are super close together, but for the price and food you won't care.
