This is a truly cozy café, just the way it should be. They serve traditional food cooked well at great prices. The staff are absolutely fantastic, and I even took the time to compliment one of the waitresses on her fabulous service! The café was bustling with a mix of customers, from young to old, some using walking frames, wheelchairs, or mobility scooters. It was a happy and welcoming environment, with all customers appearing to be content. The waitress was on a first-name basis with many customers, assisting them in finding a table or getting settled. She had a wonderful way with people, effortlessly balancing serving tables and engaging in conversation with the customers. She truly shined and was a standout human being! She would be a valuable asset to any café or restaurant. Just to clarify, I have no personal connection with this woman in case you were wondering.
We came across this place after seeing a sign on the main street. The place was very busy which is a good sign and it has a huge menu with almost everything you can think of. We both went for pie and mash which was excellent and reasonably priced. The place is very clean and the staff are very friendly.
I pop in here on a regular basis for lunch with most of my family at any one time. We all enjoy the variety of breakfasts that are available and the amount of food is always very generous, I have never left wanting more. The jacket potatoes are also very good and have heaps of topping. This is my number one place for lunch based on value, quality, quantity and service.
Today was very busy at the restaurant, but my friend and I were pleasantly surprised at how quickly our meals arrived. The burger was delicious, with a fresh and juicy taste, and the chips were also really good.
