Feedback gevenWas in Speculator August 21, 2018 with the hopes of getting a peanut butter sundae-which is amazing-but disappointed to see that they were closed! I know they are for sale but I am really hoping someone picks this place up and continues the awesome things Lakeside Licks has going. Great selection of ice cream flavors and delicious, unique sundae options. I visit the town 1-2 times a year and will miss not being able to stop here if it's gone. Would have given 5 stars if it were open
I chose this place randomly off a list found on google when searching ice cream trail . it was about a 2 hour ride from my house so before i went i enlisted the help of fb messenger with a few questions i had. i almost feel like i made a new friend! jennifer not only answered questions about the stand but also threw in a few freebies about the general area and some what to dos . the staff at the stand were very friendly and the service efficient, even making substitutions on their ultimate sundaes! great selection there btw! jennifer had suggested the pb explosion or whatever it 's called and it didn 't disappoint! great family run business...there 's even one NEAR me! would love to see food added although i was told the highland location has it all! thank you for an enjoyable experience for this gal too broke to go to maine this year but still needing an ice cream fix!
So excited this place is staying open past Labor Day!! I go every chance I get to feed my peanut butter soft ice cream addiction that they custome make for you in this cool machine. They even did a PB ice cream cake for my bday, beyond good. On the plus side: Great service, generous serving sizes : and delicious taste. Cons are hard to find perhaps too many choices (if that can be a bad thing and popular so sometimes there's a line, but def worth the wait!! I will be back for their warm fall sundaes!
Came here after spending most of our day at the Adirondack Experience (Museum at Blue Mountain Lake). So of course in typical fashion the mosquitos were starting to come out darn flying vampires! As the flavor menu picture shows they have over 20 hard ice cream flavors and over 33 soft serve flavors (flavor bursts to be exact). When in Rome go with what the Romans do so we had Mint Moose Tracks, Strawberry Cheesecake, and to appease lil bellies Cotton Candy with Marshmellow topping. Suffice to say all bellies were well pleased with the ordering. While the young lady was not overtly friendly, she was professional and did exactly what she was supposed to do take our order and serve us our ice cream. No attitude on display in any way shape or form. And dare I say a hint of a smile seeing and hearing the squeals of delight pouring forth from the lil munchkins upon getting their bowls. There is plenty of street parking or you can turn into the parking lot in the back just be careful all stone. Reasonable pricing here as well. The child portion is cheaper than the small, and you pretty much get the same amount of ice cream! Portions are pretty generous! 'Tis beginning of camping season so I 'm sure the lines will get longer but definitely worth stopping in and getting some!
Wow. I'm beginning to think that Lakeside Licks Speculator wants Summer to end even sooner than it already does in the ADK. 2 weeks to Labor Day and they don't seem to want to scoop ice cream anymore. Sorry to inconvenience you with a tap on the service window expecting you to do what you're in business to do. Next Summer is all about King of the Frosties for our family.
