Taqueria Los Petates - Spring

This restaurant serves the best meat I have ever tasted. It is cooked perfectly and seasoned just right.

These are the best pastor tacos I have ever had! The enchiladas were a bit bland, but not terrible. The horchata was made in-house and was amazing. I always go for the mixtos or pastor here!

I always order the street tacos al pastor at this restaurant. They are delicious and you get 5 tacos for a great price.

Poor service from the staff. They were never transparent with the long wait. We spent 3 hours and we were very patient. When we went to pay we simply let them know that they need to be transparent with the customers about the long wait. The server got very defensive immediately and wasn’t understanding. They even threatened to call the police because we didn’t want to pay (which we never said) we just simply let them know we were unsatisfied. A simple apology would’ve been fine. Instead the entire family came out from the kitchen to argue with us about how it’s normal to wait 2-3 hours. We understand that a lot of businesses are struggling to find staff but even then their response was unacceptable.

Was just in there, party of 9. They took 1.5 hrs to bring out ONE plate out of 9. Then after plate ONE came out, there was 45 mins between the rest of the plates. We spent 3 hours in there. I had a conversation with the server about us not being happy with the service and asked if they could take care of our drinks or something. He immediately got defensive and put words in my mouth saying I did not want to pay. He told his dad the cook that I did not want to pay (I never said that) and the dad (who seems to be the owner) threatened to call the cops on us. Overall I wasn’t expecting the response and the way they handled my comment. He also claimed that he communicated with us about the delay and that never happened. Only good thing is food was decent. Other than that all staff was extremely rude because of my one comment. Not a great way to handle customers, to threaten them after they were patient and had proper communication regarding service. I can write more but hopefully the viewers get the point.
