Kruse's Deer Lake Inn - Clarkston

Love this place! We have dinner here at least once a week. Great lunch items and dinner items. They will switch up the menu with specials every month or two. Great service and great food. Pictured below is the Shrimp with Fried Green Tomatoes and the shimp with cheddar biscuits. Desserts are fabulous too. We like the chocolate mousse or the giant cream puff with ice cream and hot fudge. Highly recommend!

In same fashion as Kruise Muir, the food does disappoint. Portions are small for the price, but it's quality over quantity. Just like Kruise Muir, they have the Casino Calamari and Charlie's Chowder. Two of my favs.

Food was wonderful, as usual. But the music was way too loud for conversation in the bar area, and still too loud in the back room. Also the restroom lighting is terrible so dark in there, and why?! They need to make some adjustments here.

Done in Muir's tradition. Everything was good with reasonably priced wine selections
