I had no idea I was going to love this place as much as I did! We had a whirlwind trip to St. Louis area for work and on a whim we were like Let 's do this tour thing and we rolled up (parking was awesome and the place is so easy to find) and paid for our tour. We had to get a locker for our bags we didn 't want to leave in the car, but the front desk person gave us the change so the lockers were free so super awesome. We had 15 minutes to wait so we ducked into the gift shop. Fresh off the airplane and out of the airport, we started to come alive again looking at all the shiny beer trinkets. It was time for our tour. I was able to read view the video that was playing in the waiting area and it was really informative and pretty cool! We met at the benches and the tour guide came and gave us the intro. At this point I was kind of getting excited... to learn... about beer. I was not very excited about the walking part of it after driving up and seeing how big the campus really was! IT 'S HUGE! Starting out the door it was a crisp but still slightly warm spring afternoon. The walking was not that bad, I was just tired and a little hangry to be honest. The tour was really fun and informative. Along the way we had a beer tasting, then ended with a special bottle of beer to take with us and a super cute trolly ride back to the biergarten. We got some food (toasted raviolis, pretzels, and a salad for balance) and another beer here and started our way to where we were going to work for the next day. This was a great start to our trip even if it was just for work. Would recommend!
The Anheuser-Busch tour completely exceeded my expectations. Our tour guide Mark was so passionate about his work and the history of A-B that it has caused me to think a second time about their place in history and their contribution to American culture. The Clydesdales are beautiful, exceeded only by the story behind them. The facility itself is remarkable, the sheer volume is impressive for sure however the care and quality of the product is something I wasn't expecting. I left with a deep appreciation of the work that goes into a single bottle of Budweiser, Rolling Rock, or one of the 30 other varieties produced on this campus. Truly impressive and worth a visit.
Had such a nice time tonight for the Brewery Lights. We've been here a number of times throughout the years whenever we have out of town guests in town. This time we just went with our grown kids who are home from College and had a great time. The $12 ticket gets you a free beer at the entrance. Everything is so nicely decorated, there is hot chocolate, S'Mores, other festive drinks like peppermint White Russian on the rocks or mixed in with your hot chocolate, a parade at 7:30 most nights, a small museum, you can stand in line for the Clydesdales but you also get to see some of them during the parade. All in all we had a great night!
Kim was a wonderful guide. Olaf stole the show and his handler Jessica was very kind and knowledgeable. A great day. Take the Clydesdale VIPTour
