Southern Cross Hotel - ST PETERS

Had a great lunch today, first time back since Cov and the place is great, renovated and looking good. Everyone enjoyed their lunch, Chef happy to accomodate my request, very lovely bar staff. Terrific pub bistro, good wine and nice peoplr

Shortly after, a couple arrived with three children who began running around the restaurant, making a lot of noise. Despite our request for the staff to direct the children to the designated child play area, they seemed indifferent to our concerns. We were disappointed by the lack of effort to control the unruly behavior of the children, as it made for a disruptive dining experience. Although the food was excellent, we were unable to enjoy our meal due to the ongoing chaos caused by the children. We were disappointed by the lack of respect for the other customers who were trying to enjoy their meals in peace. Unfortunately, we do not plan on returning to this restaurant in the future.

I met up with friends to celebrate their birthday and it was fantastic. The restaurant has a spacious outdoor area with a designated smoking section. The menu offers typical pub fare with generously sized portions. The Pork Knuckle was delicious and enough to share between two people. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they strictly adhere to Covid safety measures upon arrival. Additionally, there is a designated kid-friendly section for families with children.

This restaurant is a great spot to enjoy a quality meal at a reasonable price. The food was fresh and innovative. The staff and service were fantastic.
