Gnat's Landing - Statesboro

The crab cakes where the best I have had in years! The onion rings are homemade and the house sauce for the rings was delicious! The Cuban was also great!

As others have said I heard great things about this place. First, our server. He was great so no issue there. He even checked on stuff for dairy since I 'm lactose intolerant. However, the food was a different story. Chips and salsa were so bland. Chips had no salt whatsoever and the salsa was very watery with barely any salt as well. I ordered the fish platter minus the hush puppies since they have milk. All I could think is this is a very small amount of food for $18. It was basically a 4-6oz piece of thin fish, a very small amount of fries, and a condiment size portion of crunchy cole slaw. The slaw was very oily, had crushed up ramen (looked like from those cheap ramen soup packages) in it, and that 's about it. It was just cabbage no other vegetables so it looked anemic. The fish was small and thin and the breading was dense and kind of oily, with very little flavor. The fries were good but there were not many of them. I don 't like writing negative reviews but I will say I did leave feeling I got ripped off and I will not be returning again.

My first time coming in after living in the Boro for 6 years it's always busy when I try to come in but decided to go for it tonight! I was very impressed with the Martini Monday prices $3.50 per glass you just can't beat!
