After I entered a hotel, I was looking for a place close to a good sitdown time. it was late in this week night so they were not very busy. beautiful large square with many possibilities to sit away from others. as very hungry I ordered the speck wrapped steak with garlic kartoffeln and mais. it also includes a roll and mushroom gravy option. very delicious!
We went to josephs in the afternoon and I wanted to have breakfast. I had the eggs benedict that was good. especially on the afternoon. she had a club and onion rings that were hand-broken and great amazing what happens when a restaurant put in a little effort.
I've been eating at joseph for over 30 years. the great food brings me back again and again. the complete bar is available. but josephs is all about the torte, and in the did runs a cake back-off during the annual Stillwater lumberjack days festival. many victors are regular, like rhubarb delight, one of my favorites.
The restaurant was very busy. We were there on a Friday night around 6:30. We had a half hour wait for a table. Parking was a challenge. The parking lot is not very big. The spaces along the side of the building are posted for the restaurant next door; however, it didn't look like the signs were being obeyed. In terms of the main meal, I had a chicken sandwich. The taste was very good; however, the chicken was half the size of the bun. We saved room for the famous homemade pies and were terribly disappointed. Two of the slices were extremely small for the $4.50 a piece, and the taste didn't match the price. I had a creme brulee cheesecake. The size of the slice was decent; however, it was not really cream brulee. The top was just darker and harder as if they had tried to do the creme brulee part the day or so before. There was not much taste. Definitely not worth the calories nor the $7.50 for the slice. I'd come back for a meal but will skip the pie in the future.
