The Goyt Fish - Stockport

We recently had our Friday fish and chips delivered to our home for the first time. Normally we would go to the restaurant to order, but after a long shift at work and no dinner plans, we decided to try delivery. The food and service exceeded our expectations. Everything was hot, delivered 10 minutes earlier than expected, and fresh - it was perfect. Thank you so much for the delicious meal, it was a nice break from cooking. We will definitely be returning customers. - Matt

After returning from a holiday near Cambridge where we had a disappointing experience with fish and chips, we decided to stop by this restaurant on our way home. We don't usually get takeout, but since March, we have visited this place four times and have never been disappointed. We always split the fish and chips, add some mushy peas (even though I'm not a fan, these ones are delicious), get a side of gravy, and enjoy a buttered muffin. Every dish is always finished and cooked perfectly, with an appetizing appearance. Thank you to GFB for providing excellent local service with a smile. If only they offered a delivery service....

I went to this restaurant for a last-minute lunch and even though we arrived just before closing time, they were still able to serve us. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! The social distancing measures were also very impressive and made us feel comfortable. I will definitely be returning, 5 stars!

Went here just as they were closing, was worried about getting the leftover chips but I need not have worried. The chips were lovely fresh and hot! Best ones iv had in Marple. Man that served us was delightful too! Highly recommend and won't be going anywhere else!

Calling in for a chip butty is becoming a habit! The chips are always fresh, really hot and perfectly cooked. They are so hot you can't sit in the car with them on your lap! THe staff are really friendly and helpful and service is fast and efficient. Great to see a quality chip shop can be found in an out of the way location.
