Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Stone Mountain

I've never had brisket so tough...even the brisket chili was tough. Very disappointing. Ordered 1/2 Lb and this is what I got. Very small portions, very tough meat and messy packaging, try at your own risk! Couldn't chew the meat so headed to McDonald's

I won 't be patronizing this location any longer. I placed an online order that showed my order would be ready in 10 mins, I arrived 9 minutes later at 7:55pm. The door is locked and I have to knock to inquire about my order. The gentleman inside comes to the door and asks me to please cancel and someone will process tomorrow. I 'm sorry, WHAT? You have my money, I have no food, and you want me to hold tight until someone figures it out later. One of the owners then pulls up to find the door locked and looks confused also. He walks in, talks to the guy and maintains his nonchalant attitude. A young lady pulls up and the owner greets her at her vehicle and holds the door for her to come inside, then locks it behind them. I 'm like, ummmm are you fulfilling orders? He says no and tells me they are having equipment problems. Not sure if I believe any of it at this point, but I do know I won 't be returning.

So a gentleman came into jiffy lube this morning looking for air for his tires. He ask me if I knew if a bbq place called Dickeys . I told him no but how good that sounded. he asked me how many people were working today and he would bring us all a bbq sandwich. I said ok.,but people tell us all kinda things they will do .... so I was pleasantly surprised to see this man keeping his word and bringing each of us a fat daddy bbq sandwich and a bag of chips. And let me just say .yummy! Thanks you Dickys your awesome

So, when a bad review is necessary, I like to preface the review with phrases like 'when a bad review is necessary... ', and reasons that could have affected my review. In this case, nothing affected my review. So, the first thing in noticed was that the parking lot was empty... and it was Sunday a day on which a restaurant of good quality and value would be coverd up. After ordering a 3 meat plate with Mac and cheese and beans, I saw the 'preparer ' remove a tiny portion of three meats from some Saran wrap... and it was placed on a tray. Period. That was the extent of the prep. I figured that a warming period might be involved in order to achieve a warmer piece of... nope. From Saran wrap to tray. If you notice in the picture there is 0% steam coming from the tiny portions. Next, tiny portions. Uh, the portions were tiny. For $17.00 for one plate, I expected larger portions. Jim and Nick 's give larger portions. Sonny 's (FOR JIM 'S SAKE SONNY 'S, PEOPLE!!!! has larger portions! Dessert. So, I didn 't want to spend another dime at the company. The wife, however, wanted dessert. What she didn 't want was a chipped tooth. What she didn 't want was an impossibly hard marshmellow rice Krispy Square. What she got was the impossibly hard marshmellow rice Krispy square. I suppose no marshmallows were used in the creation of this product. Other notables: The Brunswick stew tasted like a mustard-flavored vegetable medley. This was probably a Tampa Bay Stew. The beans tasted EXACTLY like homestyle Busch beans, so... there 's that. That gnarly, room temperature, square of disappointment was no excuse for a piece bread. Just my observation. Sorry for the harsh browns, but there this is all truth here. While the presentation was nice, that was all that was nice. I was not pleased with this experience. So, in a nutshell, the price i paid for what I received was not worth it and I can not compare this restaurant to the likes of Jim and Nick 's, Smokey Bones, Smokin ' po boys, or Mo

The food was really good especially the brisket I wish I knew to ask for bbq sauce because none was included but the food was still good! I tried the greens, Mac n cheese and brisket sandwich. My son tried the ribs along with the spinach and lemon pepper wings. He also grabbed some sweets and we had no complaints. The staff was welcoming. Clean place. The line was long but it moved pretty quick!
