Armadillos Texas Style Burgers-city Base

4th time coming here and 3rd time totally disappointed with the food. Less than 1 star: greasy burgers, cold fries, and nothing much else to speak of. If not for their happy hour margaritas, there's no reason to eat there. NONE, with better food close by, make a better choice. Almost forgot, anyplace that gives you plastic fork and knife, get up and walk out then! Almost almost forgot: last 3 times I've commented about poor food quality only 1 server did anything about it and I've never seen management. Times have changed folks. Last thought from this visit, 90%of servers don't want the job and a small house salad cost $5.25 and the bowl is half full and they give you one 2ounce ranch with plastic fork. In 1 year this place will be CLOSED.

Went for a few cold ones and had the fried pickles. Both were very good, I'll be back to try out an entree

I had the Mushroom and Swiss Burger. It was so good and big, I had to cut in half and only ate half. This was the 1/2lb Burger. Tater Tots where good.

Not sure what has happened to this place. Noticed on a Saturday afternoon there was 5 or so patron groups. We stayed for three hours bought appetizers, food and adult drinks. Got hit with a large party fee 31.00 dollars party was four people. Basically I was told the party fee is for people that overstay their welcome. This was not posted at all, I brought that up and was told due to server shift change. We had the same server the whole time patronizing this business. Waitress said that’s the rules. We ordered three appetizers, three main courses, two lg and two small margaritas, two lg four medium and three small beers 215.00 with the non negotiable 31.00 overstay fee. I will not return. FYI don’t over stay you welcome at this “BAR” and grill.

If you want a frozen meat patty with zero flavor the burgers are fine. If you're looking for a good real burger, this is not the place for that. Chicken strips appeared bad, tasted like they were unseasoned chicken just dropped in old oil and over fried! Had to send those back. Some fries were ok while others were stale. No food was seasoned properly or at all! Avacado burger had a smear of old Guacamole on it, not even sliced avacado as you're led to believe. Overall bad experience and we have zero desire to ever go back for food. If you want to stop for drinks the atmosphere is really neat! Spent way too much money for the quality and quantity received. Also beware when you get your bill. No itemized bills were given, only totals then you added tip. Who knows if you're paying for what you ordered and if your double tipping. All around the management here needs to do some serious cleaning up!!
