Wendigo - Stoughton

Overall, we've loved the food and service. My husband reserved a table for my birthday, and 4 people cancelled on us on our way there, so very last minute. We told the host as soon as we walked in the door, and a change in the seating was made. Anotherserver very rudely told us we should have called (as if 5 minutes would have made a difference), as they had to turn away otherpossible tables all while 3 other 4 tops were very much clean and open (not including our recently released partial table).Our server not the one who made the comment appeared to be the only one still waiting on the entire dining room, wasgraciously kind, and the sweetest. She made the experience better, but I left a tad sour mood for what was supposed to be acelebration. As a previous server, I understand the crunch, but would never have said that to a table.

The best food in Madison is in Stoughton. The Wendigo consistently has some of the best tasting food in the area. I think their short rib was better than Harvey House's.

By far our favorite restaurant in Stoughton! Small menu but the food is always amazing. Owner is a great guy who obviously cares about his businesses. Can't recommend enough! Get the pickled and fried!

Such unique entrees, each executed to perfection! Fish fry, baked fish, fried tomato po'boy, the Hey Hey, sweet potato fries, and mango carrot slaw. Even the cocktails were special, as was the flourless chocolate cake that was warmed and served with icecream and chocolate syrup yum!

Great atmosphere and art, awesome craft cocktails with infused liquors. Creative menu with some occasional minor issues on execution. Wish they could get a guitarist on that stage and someone to tickle the ivories and this would be top notch. Wellworth your time to visit.
