Flunch is an ok place to eat in France. There is a set formula to dining there which is very loosely based around standard french cuisine - plenty of variety of meats and vegetables and sauces. The restaurants do vary in quality. This one was average.
A chain restaurant found across France and we have visited our fair share - this is perhaps one of the biggest! It has two floors and plenty of outside seating. The format of Flunch is that you select your starters, desserts and drinks by hand cafeteria-style and then order your dish from the cashier who gives you a ticket that you can exchange for your meal after you have eaten your starter or had a drink at the respective counter. The desserts are very good value, as is the wine, and the meals offer all you can eat vegetables. In practice, the quality and range varies but on our trip there was rice, pasta, chips, green beans, ratatouille and carrots. I would recommend choosing a freshly cooked dish - like a steak, rather than chicken or gammon, which is pre-prepared. This is a quick, easy and cheap place to eat - if this is what you're looking for, Flunch is perfect.
We stopped by here for what we thought would be a quick, inexpensive lunch. We were wrong on both counts. Both meals we ordered at the cashier (piece de Boucher & Boucher à la Reine) we're not available at the lunch counters. We were then sent back to stand again in line at the cashier to make another choice and required to pay the difference. Would it not have been better service to simply offer a substitute at the counter regardless if it cost more since Flunch was at fault? In addition, the faux-filet we ordered as replacements was extremely tough and the pepper sauce put on it was tasteless. This may be the last time I ever eat at a Flunch.
It's just a cafeteria in the middle of Auchan. The desserts are fine, and the price is OK but you are better off spending an extra 5-10 euros, heading into the city and getting a proper meal.
